Beach House Water Use Drops With Easy Hands-On-Green Changes

by Amy on September 26, 2012

Last month we wrote about simple steps to water reduction in a rental beach house.  The results are in through September and they are impressive: a 15% reduction in water and a 12% reduction in sewer usage.  Given the varying amounts of people and different life styles of the families using the property, it is tough to manage usage in a rental property.  But comparing year-to-date actual usage shows that simple conservation strategies can make a big difference in volume with no difference in the users experience.

Conservation not only saves water, it saves money.  Year-to-date, this client has saved $283 in water and sewer expenses and those savings will persist, making those small changes even more worthwhile.  So, get out there and change out those aerators and those showerheads and change your utility bills.
