Hands-On-Green: FINDING WATER LEAKS

Potable water is a scarce resource.  A significant amount of water is wasted every day through plumbing leaks. It isn’t always readily apparent that water is leaking away – there is a fun way to see how much water leaks away by….

Playing the leak game:

First, turn off all taps.

Second, use a crayon to mark the location of the water dial.

Third, watch the meter dial for 15 min and mark its new location.

If the dial moves, there is a leak…or maybe a bunch of leaks.

Find them.  Fix them.  Save $$.
