It isn’t often that you find MIT Technology and Dwell magazines promoting the same product. When that product is very stylish and is high tech at the same time I guess that is what you get. The nest thermostat programs itself by ‘learning’ the temperature settings that you prefer providing the right temperature at the right times. The nest helps you save money and heating and cooling by providing helpful temperature setting hints and by monitoring when the house is occupied and setting back the temp accordingly. You can access, monitor and manage your energy usage online or with your smart phone. It is a tad pricey but by working together the savings could bring a two year payback.
